That's my favorite bit--the display scope.
No folks, it's not like a television, showing you pictures from miles away, it's a screen that actually displays real data, right from the computer itself, as it's happening! Wow!
Someone once told me that most technological advances these days come from two places: the military and the porno industry...

Writer John C. Dvorak long ago noted that the porn industry has been one of the earliest adopters of tech - home movies, home video, PC's, online marketing . . . and some would say the miltary industrial complex is pornographic.

It is also interesting to note that SAGE was obsolete soon after it was deployed. It was designed to catch relatively slow moving bombers because the US felt the Soviets weren't capable of building an ICBM. So what were they looking at on their display scopes?
